The term "playthroughs" is kinda misleading when talking about Near a Tomato.
They're a bit different than playthroughs per se. I think it was 3 or so, and you unlock a shop that just lets you use the game's currency to buy the rest of the trophies, lol.
Well, how long is the combined playtime then?
The last save I have clocks my final playtime at around 60 hours, but I'm slower than most people.
Trails SC: Finished Chapter 9...
Ho-lee SHEET, but I forgot how epic the unsealing of the Aureole was. Granted, that may be partly due to the fact that the first (and before this, only) time I saw it was when I should have been asleep after a long play session, watching it play out on a PS Vita screen. Seeing it while wide awake on a PC monitor, though - boy howdy! For sure one of the top moments in the series for me on sheer scale and power alone.
So, I've messed around just a bit with Labo VR...
... it works a lot better than I thought it would. I never realized that there was motion tracking built into the tablet portion of the system. Always just figured that was handled by the Joy-Con, which to be fair, it probably is handled by the Joy-Con in most cases. Blaster took a while to get together, but it's fun. Me and a friend that helped put it together took turns laughing at stupid the other person looked playing. Didn't get the elephant / bird / camera.
Headset feels nice. Was worried that I may have issues fitting my Switch into the headset, due to the Nyko Clear Case that I have on the tablet (gotta protect my Pikachu and Eevees!!). Bit of a snug fit, but slides in and out without issue. Only issue with that, there's a small gap between the piece that the Switch slides into and the actual back of the headset.
The added size from the Nyko case pushes the cardboard out a bit, and closes that gap a bit as a result. I'm assuming this gap is there to provide a path for airflow to the system. So, a quick couple of slices to the front (back?) of the headset, and I've provided for necessary airflow.
Also, a small bonus, due to the Nyko case's snug fit... if you want to consider it a bonus. That little red bit on top, is sort of a safety feature (which, you may have already known), to prevent the Switch from falling out of the headset. I could really get by without using it at all if I wanted. Switch ain't gonna accidentally slide out, so snug!!
All I need now, is to fashion a headstrap of some sort, so that I'm ready for Zelda on the 25th.
Nearly finished with this FF7 pseudo-challenge run. But really this game is just so easy that even with these limitations in place nothing has really been hard. I still killed the dumb snake at the beginning (but I couldn't get Beta since you need elemental + fire). Somewhat humorously, I think I found Battle Square easier with just command materia than when I tried to make more optimal setups before. Beat all 8 rounds several times just using double cut, enemy skill, a ribbon, and the escort guard.
The best win was when I had no items, MP halved twice, and my weapon broken. Went into the last round with about 80MP and no way to restore it, and normal attacks only did a couple hundred damage. Bad Breath'd for sleep, slow, and poison. Trine finished out my remaining MP. Waited while the poison worked until the enemy woke up. Got enough attacks in combined with the poison to win thanks to the enemy being slow'd.
Well Sephiroth was certainly anti-climactic, but 4x cut is just broken. Jenova got off all of a single physical attack, Bizarro Sephiroth almost instantly collapsed and couldn't do anything except spam heals in a desperate attempt to survive even though the second party never did anything. Safer Sephiroth used wall and shadowflare before he died.
I'm playing My Time at Portia, right now. It's got a sort of gameplay loop to it that is really addictive. I only put it down last night because I accidentally gave away my pickaxe and then didn't want to deal with playing the whole day through again right away, lol.
... this is what VR was meant for.
So, only issue I have with BotW VR so far, most of the UI seems to be MIA. No mini map, no weather forecast, no temperatures, etc. ... just your hearts. Maybe it was to cluttered with everything on there, considering the screen is split in half? Hope they can figure something out, as I would like at least the mini map back.
Team Fortress 2.
Most difficult part for me was leveling up your robot sidekick. Got so tired of endlessly running the map looking for mats -.-
There was another trophy I was missing too, I just don't remember what it was. Was there a trophy for the colosseum?
I finished Prophecy of the moonlight witch last week, so now i can take a break before diving into song of the ocean. Also took the time to play the killer marathon dlc for travis strikes again.
Started 428 Shibuya Scramble a few days ago. Made it to the fourth hour. Really good game so far, reminds me of VLR except with live action Japanese people dressed in 80s clothing instead of anime art characters.
I got an achievement in TF2 for riding the payload cart for 30 seconds. That was fun.
Picked up Earth Defense Force 5 on sale for Golden Week, been playing that the past few nights. Glad I didn't have to shell out $60 (just too much for EDF) but I am loving it. A great continuation from the last game! I will say though, I am not a huge fan of the Ranger's sprint, as you have to have the left stick pressed down the entirety of the sprint, which hurts my thumb a bit.
Been taking a brief break from Trails games. But instead of going back to one of the several games I already have in progress, I decided to play something I'd had on my Steam for a while but never actually played yet: Bioshock Infinite.
And hot damn, is this game cool.
Can't remember offhand, sorry.
Been playing song of the ocean for a bit, collecting books doesn't feel as hectic here compare to moonlight witch.
Ah no worries. It's one I hope to go back for the plat. Just hard going back knowing most of what I have in store is running around aimlessly. Maybe I'll use a guide... but my pride doesn't like that idea.
